My husband's type O Negative. I'm AB Negitive so he can and has given me blood masses times.
O negative is the wide-reaching donor. If you have this type of blood, the Red Cross will love you.
Just a tip...you should other carry something beside you that lists your blood type. If you are a donor, transport your donor card in your wallet. If you don't hand over blood or don't have a card, write it near permanent ink on your ID or drivers license.
