Can infant receive worms from cat?

My cat has worms, they look similar to little pieces of rice, we have have her treated twice but the worms are still there, can she provide these to my baby? The kid is constantly digging at his little butt and I read that worms will make you tremendously ithchy there, he is going to doctor today, so should I sort this connection?Can infant receive worms from cat?
